Partnership is music to Noranda’s ears

Hawaiian partnered with WAM for a second year to bring the WAM School Program to two local school, Noranda and Camboon Primary School.

The Year 6/7 students from the two schools took part in five workshops led by award winning WA music artist, Timothy Nelson and Bridget Turner as part of their school music program.

The workshops were designed to inspire students to explore music and performing; developing music skills under the guidance of talented local artists, Timothy Nelson (WAMI award winner) and Bridgette Turner. Over the five weeks the students wrote an original song about ‘My place’ taking inspiration from their communities and areas they live and play.

The program wrapped up with a final performance as part of the Noranda Christmas Festival with the City of Bayswater.
