Men’s Health Peer Education Store

| NEWS

Echo News has featured Forrestfield’s own Men’s Health Peer Education program which operates out of Forrestfield Forum.

The Men’s Health Peer Education program helps war veterans and others who are statistically more likely to suicide, experience post-traumatic stress disorder, homelessness and mental health issues.

Run by a dedicated group of ex-service volunteers, the Men’s Health Peer Education store is a drop in centre for any member, ex-member or family member of the Australian Defence Force.

A volunteer at the shop, Lester Leaman, says,

“Any person suffering health issues is welcome to pop in, have a cuppa and talk to our volunteers who all have a service background.”

The shop is located inside the Forum and is open Thursdays and Saturdays from 9am to 2pm.
